A bit of a family post…While in Birmingham we met up with my long lost cousins Paul with his wife Carol and Neil with his wife Judith plus their daughters Sadie and Aimee with her boyfriend Tom.
They were on a hire boat for a week and were doing the Stourport ring.They caught up with us at Brindley place and after mooring and having a cuppa on Inca we went off into Birmingham for a bit of lunch and a catch-up.
It was soon time for them to leave and I gave Neil a hand to reverse out of Brindley place on their 68 foot boat . I was OK until I looked down for the Bow thruster only to find they didn't have one..
Have a good trip back and don't leave it so long until we meet again….. It was so good to meet up after all this time.
Eventually we got out OK and they were soon on their way to Alvechurch with the boat and then back down to sunny Somerset where they live.
We now have a few days in Birmingham before we set off again . There are a few places we want to visit including the Library and Museum for me and somewhere called New Street and The Bull ring for Carolyn , so it should be a good few days.

so glad that you all met up nice picture of you all.That boat looked massive . I thought yours was long enough.( Its big enough for you two & Abbie when she joins you ) x
