We have spent the last week at Campbell Park where Carolyn and Curly have been enjoying the Leisure facilities down at Willen Lake and of course the shopping up in the centre of Milton Keynes. Now with Curly back at School in Sunny Devon we can at last pull pins and be on the move again. Staying still for very long just doesen’t suit me. Not long after setting off we passed the boat in the picture above, well in fact its 2 boats except with this one the Butty is on the front and pushed instead of pulled.
We then saw this boat with a lovely cover on the back. If only I had thought of doing something like that instead of spending out over a grand on the one we have.
How about this for a tiller pin. I bet that hurts !
After a short cruise to Fenny Stratford we moored and went and did a shop at Tesco. On the way we passed this bit of ingenious fencing. I must say I’ve never seen fencing like this before.
After a night at Fenny we moved on towards Stoke Hammond and came across these two sheep. They are full size and plastic. Not sure why anybody would want these in their garden ,but there must be a reason…
It was then up Stoke Hammond lock and a short distance around the corner to meet up with friends Lew and Sharon on Nb Diana. We will have a day or two here before moving on again…..
Happy days

ReplyDeleteIngenuity all round : the solid boat cover must struggle through bridges, but then again probably never sees one, the fence, land measured to the inch and the sheep, well what can you say without being rude. Well picked out Gary and Carolyn. Keep on doing it.
ReplyDeleteHi Jack . What would the World be like without without a bit of diversity !!!!
ReplyDeleteThere's a sheep like those on a cottage balcony on the Stratford canal. When I catch up with my blog there'll be a picture (along with the Reliant Robin in the tree)
ReplyDeleteDebby
Hi Debby, I remember the sheep on the balcony when we passed last year, but can't remember seeing a Reliant Robin in a tree..
DeleteTrue Gary. Diversity are a good dance group, so that rules me out. Stiff as a plank. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteRules me out as well Jack... Dad dancing for me ....

ReplyDeleteNeil.
Hi Neil, Thanks for your comment. The blog was originally done for family and friends to follow us as we travel around. But it's good to know that people enjoy reading about our journey on the good ship Inca.. Regards Gary
