We pulled pins from Alrewas at 08.45 and soon got on the water point before the lock to fill up with water.

Dropping down onto the river Trent section and Curly is pleased to see that its very safe to travel on Rivers as she has always been a bit uneasy about travelling on rivers.

I don't think I would get away with calling our boat this …

We stopped at Barton marina and had a quick look around. You never know when you might need to stay in a marina. Although the prices in the shops were a bit steep the marina itself was very competitive.

There are lots of shops in the marina and this one has a great sign on the door. Needless to say Carolyn was hired and was gone for hours !!!

Going through Burton upon Trent the home of Brewing and Curly is asking what a brewery is .

Earning her passage and Curly puts her back into it as she helps Carolyn with the locks.

After 4 hours of cruising we moored outside of Willington marina. Tomorrow we will have a look around Mercia marina before continuing are cruise to Shardlow and beyond.
