Steering Inca
After a night above Weston lock on the T&M canal pins were pulled at 09.00 and off we go again . Its not long before Curly is stood on her stool and steering Inca with expert guidance from Carolyn. We are starting with her trying to steer in a straight line before we tackle any corners. So far she has done very well.
Another good boat name… We gone and done it 2.
There are some deep and very fierce double locks on this section of The Trent and Mersey canal and Carolyn has to open the paddles very slowly. Even with the centre rope around a bollard it certainly takes some holding.
After 3 lovely hours of cruising we made it to Willington and met up with our good friends Stewart and Fran (Nb The Boat) and as usual had a good time catching up on what we have all been doing. Tomorrow its off again on our travels and heading West back towards Alrewas.
Happy Days
