We spent a great evening at The Boat Inn in Thrupp with Ann, Keith and Maffi. As well as plenty to drink we had a very good meal.As we are in deepest Oxford the room we were in contains loads of pictures of the TV series Inspector Morse which was filmed in this area.
This is our mooring outside of this terrace of cottages, and this location featured in an episode of Inspector Morse called The Riddle of the Third Mile.
Here we go again and this time at Shipton on Cherwell Church and Carolyn is still trying to find me a suitable final resting place.
The stain glass window inside of the church looked so colourful with the sun shinning in from outside.
This is The Manor house at Shipton on Cherwell and it was owned by Richard Branson in the 1970s and was converted into a recording studio. The album that really put Virgin records on the map was Mike Oldfields Tubular bells, and that was recorded here. It is now owned by The Marquess of Headfort……. Keep doing the lottery Carolyn and one day we could live in a house like that…
Happy Days
plenty of room for us as well in a place that big.. xxx
